    The finalist codes for voting will be revealed during the competition.

    Competition Format

    What each finalist will be doing...

    Give an engaging 5 min solo presentation to explain about blood donation and to promote a university’s blood drive campaign.

     

    Questions will be asked during the Q&A Session.

    What can we win...

    • Champion: The top-placed finalist can win the Championship Trophy and a White Lanyard.
    • Merit: The 2nd- to 5th-placed finalists can win the Merit Award Medal.
    • Finalist: The 6th- to 8th-placed finalists can win the Finalist Certificate.
    • People's Choice Award: The finalist with the most valid votes will win the People's Choice Award.

    Rules and Regulation:

    1. Each Voter needs 2 Codes:
      1. Your Voter Code
        (Your YOs will collect for you during registration)
      2. The Finalist Code
        (Given to you during the competition itself. Visit the Auditorium during the competition to find out!).
    2. You must vote for 2 different finalists for ABC. If you vote, for example, ABC1 and ABC1 again, your vote will be voided. However, you can vote for the same school again in different competitions.
    3. Each voter can only vote onceIf the same person votes more than once for ABC, all their votes for ABC will be voided.
    4. If you vote outside the timing, your response will not be recorded.
    5. Non-Cadet Voters:

    Presenting the 8 finalists of RCY DRRC 2019...

    The finalists will present in order from DRRC1 to DRRC8.

    Competition Format

    What each finalist will be doing...

    Finalists have to complete the following tasks:

    1. Set up the Obstacle Course at the competition ground (5m x 3m space) to educate the audience on the same topic from the Prelim Round.
      • Teams must bring the required logistics to the finals

      • Organizing committee will only provide basic logistics such as tables and chairs for each team (no power socket will be provided)

    2. Present the proposal to the panel of judges for 7 minutes.

        • Teams are to conduct the 5 minute Obstacle Course Experience (Intro, Engage, Debrief) to a panel of 3 judges (assume that they are the members of the public)

        • Note that the 3 judges would have watched their submissions beforehand.

    3. During the Q&A Session, 1 question will be asked. After the question, the Team Leader has 1 minute to think and answer the question. If the Team Leader is absent, any team member can answer the question.

    What can we win...

    • Innovation Award: Given to the team’s DRR Obstacle Course Experience that is:
      • Exciting and Engaging for players of different ages
      • Original and innovative
      • Easily replicated in any other school

    The winning team will received the Innovation Award, and the Team Leader will receive a White Lanyard.

    • Community Award: Given to the team’s DRR Obstacle Course Experience that:
      • Provides players a deeper understanding of a local emergency that we can potentially face
      • Provides players solutions on how they can play their part to reduce these emergencies easily and immediately.

    The winning team will receive the Community Award, and the Team Leader will receive a White Lanyard.

    • People's Choice Award: The team with the most valid votes will win the People's Choice Award.

    TC Finals 2019

    Date: 19 January 2019

    Venue: Nan Chiau High School, Hall

     

    Booth Setup: 0800 - 0830

    Competition Time: 0830 - 1130

    Voting Time: 0830 - 1130

    Final Showdown*: 1200

     

    * Final Showdown will be for top 4 teams. The format will be revealed to the qualifying teams

    Presenting the 40 finalists of RCY TC 2019...

    The finalists will present in the following order:

    1. The following teams will present at the same time:
      • TC01 to TC20 will present to Judges A & B in sequential order.*
      • TC21 to TC40 will present to Judges C & D in sequential order.
    2. After all teams have been judged in the competition, the judges will deliberate on the top 4 teams. The top 4 teams will be judged once again in a final showdown.
    *TC07 has their order swapped

    Competition Format

    What each finalist will be doing...

    Finalists have to complete the following tasks:

    1. Set up a booth at the Hall to educate the audience on the proposal from the Preliminary Round. (2 tables and 2 chairs will be provided)
    2. Present the proposal that’s Innovative and for the Community to the panel of judges for 3 minutes.
      • Teams are to use their booths for the presentation.
      • Teams may use media equipment such as laptops, iPads and speakers, but no power supply will be provided.
      • Note that the judges would NOT have watched their videos beforehand.
    3. During the Q&A Session, 1 question will be asked. After the question, the Team Leader has 1 minute to think and answer the question. If the Team Leader is absent, any team member can answer the question.
    4. Both pairs of judges will choose 1 potential winner each for the Innovative and Community Awards. All 4 judges will then visit the 4 potential winning booths and allow each Team Leader to do a 1 min final presentation about their proposal. This final judging will be done at random order, and will decide the winner of the 2 awards.

    What can we win...

    • Innovation Award: The team with the most innovative, feasible and sustainable idea will receive the Innovation Award, and the Team Leader will receive a White Lanyard.
    • Community Award: The team who excelled the most in providing a deep analysis in the issue which they wish to solve, and provided with a relevant idea to tackle the issue will receive the Community Award, and the Team Leader will receive a White Lanyard.
    • Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards: Teams will receive these awards based on their score.
    • People's Choice Award: The team with the most valid votes will win the People's Choice Award.

    Who can I vote for?

    Rules regarding who you can vote for.

    You can vote for 2 ABC finalists, 2 DRRC finalists and 2 Trailblazer finalists

    Your vote must fulfill the following criteria to be counted:
    1. All votes for the same competition must go to different teams. You cannot vote, for example, TC01 and TC01 again. However, you can vote for the same school again in different competitions.
    2. You must vote for all competitions in the same form. For example, you cannot vote for DRRC only without voting for Trailblazers and/or ABC
